John Dickerson is an American journalist and co-hosts the CBS This Morning television show. Dickerson previously hosted the CBS News television show Face the Nation. He has also worked as CBS News’ political director, Slate magazine’s political columnist, and CBS News’ chief Washington correspondent.
Before joining Slate, he worked for Time magazine for 12 years, the last four of which he was a White House Correspondent. Dickerson received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia. He is the son of journalist Nancy Dickerson, and he published the book On Her Trail about their relationship.

Anne Dickerson was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar in 1991. Soon after graduating, she was hired as the head of business affairs at A-Pix Entertainment.
The defunct video distributor was a branch of Unapix Entertainment, which voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2000. Both John and Anne attended the same college and married in 1995.
