Prior to signing with Club Baloncesto Majadahonda, Hernangómez played for Real Madrid and the youth teams at CB Las Rozas. In 2012, Hernangómez signed his first professional contract with CB Estudiantes, where he spent three years in the organization’s reserve squad until being promoted to the first team in 2014.
