Kanye West is reportedly being looked into because he is said to have grabbed a woman’s phone and thrown it when she wouldn’t stop filming him. The rapper-turned-fashion designer was leaving his daughter North’s basketball game when he noticed that paparazzi were following him, according to a video that went viral.
It’s not clear if the woman was a paparazzi or just a fan, but he allegedly got out of his car and talked to her while she was filming him from her own car.
“You didn’t have to run up on me like that,” he told the woman, who was holding her phone up to his face.
“If I say stop, stop with your cameras!”
Ye is said to have reached into the woman’s car, grabbed her phone, and thrown it away when she tried to say she could film him because he was “famous.”
He allegedly confronted another paparazzi as he walked away. But it’s not clear what he said to make him back off. No one knows how long the woman allegedly filmed West, 45, or what happened before he got out of his car that made him confront her.

TMZ’s police sources say that around 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene and shown video of what happened. The news source said that the woman was seen talking to police officers as she left the sheriff’s office.
Since then, TMZ said, West has been named as a suspect in an investigation into a battery. But that wasn’t the only time today that West asked to be left alone. In another part of the video, after getting back into his car, he stopped in front of a group of paparazzi who were filming the whole thing.
“You want me to be running up on your kids’ games like that?” Ye told the pap, who tried to defend himself by saying that “there’s a hundred of us.”
“Everybody needs to stop when I see my kids. If I need to see my kids, you can’t photograph me,” West continued. “It’s called human rights.”
Again, when the pap tried to say that they could take his picture because they were on a public street, Ye just looked at him and drove off with his new “bride,” Bianca Censori, 27, in the passenger seat. Ye’s fight with the paparazzi comes just one day after he and Censori were seen shopping at Balenciaga, even though they had cut ties with him for making anti-Semitic comments on social media.
He was seen in the store looking at shoes with the Australian Yeezy employee he reportedly married in a non-legal ceremony earlier this month. Even though Ye’s life seems to be starting a new, happy chapter, sources told Page Six that the Kardashians are worried about the quick wedding.
“The family isn’t taking this as a marriage yet,” the insider said. “They don’t know what it is. They aren’t sure if it is a PR stunt. They are waiting to see if he files for papers. They are nervous because if it’s real, she would be in the children’s life.”
Kim Kardashian and West got a divorce in 2022. They had been married for seven years and had four children together.
