Lana Del Rey said that she only put up one billboard to promote her new album, and it just so happens that it is in the hometown of her ex-boyfriend.
The singer shared the title track from her new album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd., earlier this month.
Del Rey also showed the album’s cover art and said it would come out on March 10, 2023. Fans can order “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” before it comes out.
The musician shared a selfie with the billboard on her private Instagram account, @honeymoon. She wrote in the caption, “There’s only one, and it’s in Tulsa,” referring to the Oklahoma City where her ex-boyfriend Sean Larkin lives.
In the post’s comments section, she said, “It’s. Personal.” to explain why she put the billboard in her ex’s hometown.
Since then, her fans have praised her decision, calling it the best way to get even. “It’s so Lana del Rey for her to put up just one billboard for her album in the city of her ex-boyfriend and then tweet about it,” someone wrote on Twitter.
