Made in Abyss” is receiving a second season of fascinating adventure into the lost civilization buried in the vast black pit of the Abyss. This isn’t a show for the entire family, despite its charming animation style fooling you into thinking it is. Young orphan girl Riko lives in a town with a giant pit in the midst of it, and the abyss contains just as many wondrous relics as strange creatures, enticing Cave Raiders to delve into its depths for long-lost artifacts.
However, few have returned from the deepest levels; among them is Riko’s mother, a famous Cave Raider who disappeared during an expedition. But when Riko finds a robot boy, Reg, and receives a message from her mother to meet her at the bottom of the abyss, Riko and Reg begin their descent into a dangerous otherworld. Since Season 1, the series has gotten one sequel in the form of a feature-length film, titled “Dawn of the Deep Soul.” Now, according to Comic Book, it’s getting a full-length second season as well as a recently announced video game.
