In 2001, Pixar introduced us to Mike and Sulley, a monster combo that forever transformed our understanding of how monsters operate. As far as we’re concerned, our childhood hasn’t been the same since that fateful day. Monsters, Inc. is a fantastic animated film that has all the right elements. In addition to its stunning animation and heartfelt teachings about childhood and friendship, this film is a joy to see. Regardless of your age, you’ll be enchanted by this.
It was also produced during a time before the release of “Cars,” when Pixar was churning out fantastic films one after the other. Of course, Pixar’s treasure trove includes “Monsters, Inc.” Rather than telling a familiar story about monsters lurking under our beds and behind our curtains, the film reimagines it and pushes the boundaries of our imagination. But Pixar gave us a prequel we didn’t know we needed, even though we’ll never know what happens to Mike, Sulley, and Boo after they say their goodbyes.

Monsters, Inc. 3 Plot: What Can It Be About?
The monstrous world of Monstropolis is fuelled by the screams of children in ‘Monsters, Inc.’ Sulley (a scarer) and other monsters like him prowl the human realm at night in search of human screams. Boo, a tiny girl, accidentally enters Monstropolis, upending the lives of Sully and Mike. The three of them then go on an adventure as Sully and Mike attempt to hide Boo from the authorities and devise means of returning her to the human realm.
As a result, an unexpected relationship is formed between the three of them. Not everything they’ve been taught about humans is true. Children’s laughter is far more powerful than their screams, according to the two. The film closes with Sully briefly taking over as CEO of Monsters, Inc. and reuniting with Boo for one final time. Things don’t go as planned, so the two form a band of misfits to compete in the “Scare Games” in order to prove themselves. While working as mailroom clerks, they rise to become members of the shock team of Monsters Inc.
However unlikely it is that a sequel will be made to “Monsters University,” the film’s early days in Monsters, Inc. may be revisited in full. However, it’s more likely that a sequel to the original “Monsters, Inc.” will be released. Pete Docter, the film’s director, and filmmaker has plans for a sequel in which Boo is an adult. Docter said in an interview with EW:
To avoid answering some of the issues about what happens to Boo, and how she grows up, we decided on a prequel for ‘Monsters University.’ To be a sequel, it would have to be interesting, which is the criterion for all of our sequels, anyway. ” Following in the traditions of “Peter Pan,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and “Toy Story 3,” it is possible that if there is ever a sequel to “Boo,” it will focus on an adult Boo. Dr. Docter continued:
Part of that notion was like a Peter Pan-type scenario, where Wendy had been visited as a child by Peter Pan and had a vague recollection of him.” Monsters University is the only Pixar prequel to date, focusing on the history of Sully and Mike. As housemates at the elite Roar Omega Roar fraternity on campus, they were attempting to fit in and achieve their aspirations of becoming successful scarers.
Monsters Inc. 3 Cast: Who Can Be In It?
It’s safe to assume that the original cast members will return for any future installments in the ‘Monsters, Inc. franchise, whether it’s an installment following ‘Monsters University or the original film. Like Mike Wazowski, John Goodman plays James P. Sullivan, and Steve Buscemi plays Randall Bogg, all three actors appear in both films. As well as Roz and the Abominable Snowman, they have Bob Peterson in the lead role.
These actors would return to reprise their roles as the original characters in the event of a sequel to the franchise. We may also see additional performers like Jennifer Tilly, Nathan Fillion, and Joel Murray in the sequel, depending on whether or not it is a prequel or the original. To be expected is that there will be more creatures, as well as a grown-up protagonist. Boo
Monsters Inc. 3 Release Date: When Can It Premiere?
Furthermore, Pixar is now working on numerous projects that will be their first forays into making original content. Aside from these two, which will be released in 2020, there are three other unnamed projects that are scheduled for release in 2021 and 2022, respectively. So, if Pixar ever decides to return to the ‘Monsters, Inc. brand and produce a sequel, it won’t be until 2023 at the earliest.
Pixar and Disney have been working on a spin-off TV series called ‘Monsters at Work,’ which has the original cast, making the sequel more feasible. The series, set six months after the events of Monsters, Inc., will debut on Disney+ later this year.
