Jaime Royal “Robbie” Robertson supposedly died on Wednesday, August 9, after a long illness. Robbie reportedly battled prostate cancer—a disease mainly affecting men over 50—for over a year before his death.
When Robbie’s wife Janet Zuccarini took him to the hospital the day before he died, he was reportedly in good health overall. Around Robbie as he passed away were members of his family: Janet, his wife, Alexandra, Sebastian, Delphine, and Kenny, who was engaged to Delphine, as well as Nicholas, who was Dominique’s lover, and Robbie’s children, Alexandra, and Sebastian.
Robbie’s family released a message through his Instagram account. To help fund a new Woodland Cultural Centre, the family has asked that instead of flowers, donations be made to the Six Nations of the Grand River.
