The superstar singer introduced the vocalist of Mumford & Sons by saying, “We do have a special visitor with us tonight.” On Saturday, on the second night of her Eras Tour stop in Las Vegas, Taylor Swift invited Marcus Mumford as a special guest (March 25). Swift asked the frontman of Mumford & Sons for her inaugural live performance of “Cowboy Like Me” from her chart-topping 2020 album, Evermore, despite stating to fans during night one at MetLife Stadium that “we don’t have guests at this show.”

When Swift introduced Mumford to the sold-out crowd, she said, “Las Vegas, Nevada, you are so blessed. We do have a special guest with us tonight.” Would you join me in singing “Cowboy Like Me”? The single “Cowboy Like Me,” from Taylor Swift’s ninth studio album Evermore, reached its highest position of No. 71 in December 2020.

The country-influenced song was recorded in the UK at Mumford’s Scarlet Pimpernel Studios. Mumford provides background vocals on the song’s studio version. Swift sang “Cowboy Like Me” live for the first time on Saturday, but Mumford frequently played the song during his solo act in 2022.
