Wade Felton is one Unicorn that just turned extinct: CBS has canceled the Walton Goggins-led sitcom after just two seasons, TVLine has learned. The Unicorn follows a close group of friends who got together to help their widowed friend Wade (Goggins) grieve and move on with his life following the death of his wife.
The sitcom chronicled Wade as he re-entered the chaotic game of dating — where he became quite a hot commodity — all while raising two girls as a single parent. In Season 2, Wade’s long-term relationship with Shannon (which reunited Goggins with Justified co-star Natalie Zea) took center stage, as the couple sorted with parenthood, careers, an ex-husband, and long distance to try and make things work.

The Unicorn Season 3 Storyline
The first season covers Wade’s life, who lost his wife. Now he is the single parent of their daughters, Grace, and Natalie. They (his four children and four best friends, all of whom are single) urged him to get back out there and meet new people. His flawless image of a single guy and a loving father gained popularity among women in the dating industry. And his buddies called him “Unicorn.”
Wade began dating Caroline in season 1 after multiple failed dates with other women. In season 1, he established solid relationships with his daughters. He became envious, though, when he discovered Caroline with someone else.
In the season 1 finale, Wade visited her wife Jill’s cemetery on her birthday. He met with a woman there and assisted her to catch a wounded skunk. He didn’t know about her, but he felt a connection with her. Next season, we’ll learn more about the woman with whom Wade connected.

We have high hopes that, with the help of his loved ones, he will be able to rebuild his life after the death of his wife. A woman Wade encountered while parking has a strong attraction to him, and he’s planning a second meeting with her. Furthermore, Michelle applied for her business degree and waited to know the college’s reaction, and Natalie fights to convince her father that she wants her ears pierced.
Wade and Shannon go on a date in the second episode. Meanwhile, Grace is trying to accommodate her new high school, but Michelle suffers from her algebra course. In the next episode, Forrest delivers a water cannon to Noah, and the gang has an honest debate about racial injustice. Moreover, Wade is working on a plan for Shannon’s birthday celebration.
Ben asks Wade for a job after this episode, and they’re both impressed by how different their skill sets are. Delia is also attempting to be a little less critical of Michelle’s parenting style.
