The Walking Dead Season 11

It’s possible fans thought this day would never arrive for AMC’s long-running zombie drama, but as the series has shown plenty of times throughout its 12-year run of gruesome deaths, all things come to an end. With 16 of the 24 episodes of The Walking Dead Season 11 now out, only eight episodes remain to wrap up this post-apocalyptic epic. The Walking Dead certainly saved its biggest arc for last.

The first two parts of Season 11 have seen Daryl, Maggie, Carol, and the rest of our beloved heroes take on the Commonwealth, a massive, technologically advanced, and well-armed settlement that seeks to preserve civilization as it was before the outbreak. But the survivors who’ve experienced countless horrors over the last 11 seasons know that there’s really no going back to the old way of doing things and that the class-based prosperity the Commonwealth offers its largely sheltered citizens is just a facade.

The first 16 episodes of the season slowly lifted the veil on what’s really going on at the new settlement, where inequality is embraced as a necessary evil needed to bring back the old world. Even after the Commonwealth sends aid to a dilapidated Alexandria and its starving settlers, Daryl, Maggie, and the rest have a hard time accepting their benefactors’ bureaucratic way of doing things (although Daryl does inexplicably become a Commonwealth cop who holds doors for rich people in one of the season’s more questionable character arcs).

But by the end of Part 2, the Commonwealth has taken Alexandria, the Hilltop, and Oceanside by force, with signs of much more trouble ahead for our heroes in the final eight episodes of the series. Here’s what we know about The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3:

The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 Plot

Even if we don’t dive into specific character arcs, the next eight episodes of The Walking Dead will have to do two major things: 1) wrap up the Commonwealth narrative that began in Season 10 and the series as a whole, and 2) set up the TWD universe’s future, which will continue long after the main series ends (we’ll get to that later).

First, showrunner Angela Kang and her writers have a comprehensive plan for how to wrap out the show’s Commonwealth storyline according to the show’s source material. After a final run of issues, Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s comic book series likewise comes to a close at the Commonwealth, offering both closure and a heavy dose of tragedy (those who have read the comics will understand exactly what we mean). There’s no way for the show to faithfully duplicate the comic’s conclusion because of the absence of Rick Grimes, an essential figure in this story arc. Without Sheriff Rick, it’s impossible to bring the comic’s sad ending to the big screen. As a result, the series’ climax will likely take another departure from the original material. We delved deeper into the Commonwealth storyline and how the show could (and should) end here, with more spoiler-y details.

But what about the post-Commonwealth future? Whereas Rick Grimes and the rest of his ragtag band of survivors had a satisfying conclusion in the comics, the TV show will not. Season 11 must lay the groundwork for the future of The Walking Dead’s universe. Even before the conclusion of The Walking Dead (scroll down to see them) on AMC, the network already has many spinoffs shows in development that will carry on several of the series’ central characters’ journeys.

The Walking Dead season 11c spoilers: What will happen

This season’s B block

will have a “very entertaining thriller atmosphere,” Kang stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s not rare for us in a season to have a different mood from 11A,” he continued. But there will be another group that will astonish our people. I don’t want to spoil everything for you.” Also, our personalities will provide us with a better understanding of the Commonwealth as a whole. Many personalities will be introduced to us for the first time, and there will be specific methods in which this plays out.”

To summarise, here is what the official synopsis of this film has to say: “Many of our heroes are facing imminent hellfire under Reaper attack while others combat Mother Nature’s torrential wrath in Alexandria. Everyone’s world is falling apart at the seams.

But despite appearances, things in the Commonwealth are not quite what they seem. Hope will be rekindled for some people. In the end, some people will be pushed to the limit. “Every action has the potential to radically alter a person’s future, survival chances, and the state of their community. This is a fact that cannot be ignored.”
Kang told TVLine, “When we start [the final season], we’re rockin’ and rolling, we’re back to being big and scope-y. For the first half, there will be a sense of things moving quickly, but after that, we’ll try some new tonal approaches that we hope will be enjoyable for the viewers.”

Every narrative will have its own unique vibe as we meet new people from different communities,” she continued. It’s possible some of them will explore new genres that haven’t before been on the show.

The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 Release Date

After being released in three parts, Season 11 is now available on DVD. The first segment aired on February 20, 2022, and the second segment began on February 20, 2021.
The third and final group of episodes have yet to be released.

Our best prediction is that the last season will begin airing in October if we were to guess. Even if this is a continuation rather than a new season, we expect The Walking Dead to end in October, where it all began – during the spookiest month of the year. Each week, new episodes of AMC’s hit drama will air on Sundays in the United States, before being made available on Disney+’s STAR service the following Monday. In total, there will be 24 episodes in the season.
