Ryūji Takasu is upset about how his eyes make him look like an asshole who dislikes everyone. He wants to get closer to a girl he likes, Kushieda Minori but has not been able to communicate his feelings. On the first day of his second year of high school, he comes across a petite girl, Taigā Aisaka, known for snapping at others and her external roughness. Ryuji’s class happens to include both Taig and Minori this year.
Taigā accidentally slips a love note in Ryūji’s purse, mistaking his for his friend Yūsaku’s; Taigā then comes to Ryūji’s house that night to kill him for knowing that she likes Yūsaku. Taigā realises that Ryūji likes Minori, who is also Taigā’s dear friend, and Ryūji promises her that he will do whatever to help her with Yūsaku. The following morning, Ryuji learns that Taig has moved into the apartment building just across the street from his own. When he comes over, he cleans the kitchen and gives her food.

Takasu Ryūji
Ryuuji Takasu is the series’ main male protagonist. He is a sixteen-year-old high school student in his second year, in-class 2-C. Due to biological inheritance, his sanpaku eyes make him look like an imposing delinquent and generate many misunderstandings.

Minori Kushieda is a girl in Ryūji’s class and is initially the target of his affections, and she is also Taiga’s best friend.
