Tori Bowie Obituary: A Tr@gic Ending for Olympic Sprinter At 32

Autopsy describes the US sprinter’s de@th at her Florida home last month in devastating detail. Per the autopsy, the sprinter Tori Bowie, an Olympic and world champion, gave birth at home and passed away.

The 32-year-old was discovered dead at her Florida home in May after the sheriff’s office there went to “check on a woman’s well-being who had not been seen or heard from in several days.”

The autopsy report was acquired by USA Today, which stated: “Possible complications Bowie had included respiratory distress and eclampsia, when a person develops seizures following a sudden spike in high blood pressure during pregnancy.”

Although the news of her passing sh0cked the sport in early May, the reason for her de@th wasn’t known until recently. She was eight months pregnant at the time of her de@th, and the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that she was giving delivery.

Bowie earned the 4×100-meter relay gold, the 100-meter silver, and the 200-meter bronze at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro before winning the 100-meter and 4×100-meter world championships in London the following year.
