YSL Rico Case Update

Several new accusations have been filed against Young Thug since he was denied release in June, including two counts of criminal street gang activity. New accusations have been filed against Young Thug in the RICO lawsuit against Young Stoner Life Records.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has reportedly filed charges against Thug and four other defendants following their arrests on March 17 and May 9.

WSB-TV2 Atlanta reported this information. According to Complex, “many charges stem from evidence authorities recovered during a search of Thug’s home in Georgia upon his arrest in May” as part of a 56-count indictment against him, Gunna, and 26 other YSL members.

Two counts of criminal street gang activity, three counts of violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a machine gun are among Thug’s most recent charges, as reported by Complex.

These accusations, according to the District Attorney’s Office, provide more evidence that Thug was a gang leader for a long time. Martinez Arnold and Deamonte ‘Yak Gotti’ Kendrick are the other two suspects accused in the machine gun count.

The statement below was previously published by Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel: “Mr. Williams has not violated the law whatsoever.” We’ll be fighting this case with honesty, integrity, and determination. We expect Mr. Williams to be acquitted.

Fulton County’s top prosecutor, Fani Willis, has stated that all 28 of the original defendants will be affected by the indictment. Willis coined the term “Young Slime Life” (YSL). A member of the Bloods gang, “it is a hybrid gang that operates in Atlanta.”

Young Thug was denied bond in June following a lengthy hearing. On January 9, 2023, a trial is scheduled to begin. An accused YSL collective co-founder was also denied bond in June. He surrendered himself to authorities.

After a lengthy hearing in June, the bond was not granted to the thug. The trial date is set for January 9, 2023. In June, bond was also denied to Walter Murphy, another accused co-founder of the YSL group who had turned himself in.
