According to the official website, Brian Kirk is the director of this action/thriller film, which was written by Adam Mervis with Matthew Michael Carnahan. 21 Bridges Storyline: What About The Movie Actually is?
An attempt to rob a wine shop in Brooklyn one night by two small-time crooks and war veterans is foiled by the store’s security. A group of police officers from the 85th Precinct unexpectedly comes and Ray guns them down in a shootout.
They find three hundred instead. Michael chastises Ray for putting them in danger by killing the officers after they escaped into Manhattan with 50 kg. They come into conflict with Sgt Butchco and Sgt Dugan of the NYPD’s 85th Precinct who are trying to take over the case that Davis and Frankie Burns have been assigned to investigate.
Davis convinces the deputy mayor, the FBI, and the commander of the 85th precinct, Captain McKenna, to agree to shut down Manhattan Island until 5 a.m. on the grounds that the criminals must sell the cocaine in Manhattan before fleeing the state.
Ray and Michael go to see their buyer, Hawk, with their liaison, Bush. When he provides them $1 million and connects them to Adi, the money launderer, he gives them new IDs and orders them to depart for Miami the next morning. Davis and Burns are able to identify Ray, Michael, and Bush in their investigation. Butchco and Dugan assassinate Bush in a nightclub shortly thereafter. Davis became wary of his teammates after witnessing Butchco place his backup sidearm on Bush’s body and then scuffle with him.
Lieutenant Kelly of the 85th Precinct leads a squad of officers who immediately find and raid Adi’s flat. Even though the policeman manage to kill Adi, he manages to give Michael the passwords to two flash drives.
Following an accidental shooting, Ray is fatally injured by Davis after Davis manages to track down Michael and Ray. Before fleeing, Michael threatens Burns with a gun and tells Davis about the drives and how suspicious they all are. In spite of Davis’ reputation, Burns chastises Davis for allowing Michael to flee. It dawned on Michael that McKenna’s precinct was profiting from drug trafficking from the winery, and that several of those murdered in the firefight were corrupt cops. He unlocked the drives in a hotel room. Davis cornered Michael in a subway train and persuaded him to surrender by promising to keep him alive after he ran out of money again again.
On board the train, Burns claims that she felt Michael was still holding Davis at gunpoint and shoots him. After killing Michael, Davis was able to steal the discs and the password, which he then passed on to her in a compromising position. Davis discovers that Burns had contacted Kelly before Adi’s flat was raided by the authorities.
He returns the next morning and finds Davis holding him at gunpoint with the drives accessed. In order to supplement their meagre salaries, the officers turned to drug trafficking, as explained by McKenna. Butchco, Dugan, and Kelly, all on McKenna’s payroll, are killed by Davis, who refuses to leave.
McKenna, who refuses to submit, is then killed by Davis. When Davis discloses that he had already leaked the information online, exposing all the corrupt officers in New York, and the reasons that her daughter would live without her mother if she were to be sentenced to life in prison for killing him, Burns surrenders to him.
As a result, Davis drives along the Manhattan Bridge at dusk, carrying the cars he’s taken with him.
