After episode 87, the third half of Attack on Titan season 4 will be released in 2023. The fourth and final season, animated by Studio MAPPA, began broadcasting in January 2022. In 2021, Hajime Isayama’s popular manga series ended.
Attack on Titan season 4 part 2 concluded on April 3rd, 2022, with a sequence of shocking revelations regarding the Titans’ horrible origins. 87 “The Dawn of Humanity” saw the main characters chasing after Eren Yeager’s (Yuki Kaji) Founding Titan and the legions of Titans who rose from their hibernation in the walls during the Rumbling. So Armin Arlert (Marina Inoue), Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishiwaka), and the rest of the Scouting Regiment teamed up to halt Eren’s scheme. With the world of Attack on Titan in shambles, a third season was swiftly confirmed when episode 87 aired.
Sasha’s Attack On Titan Death Expanded Her Role In Final Season
The official Attack on Titan anime Twitter account revealed that new episodes of the popular anime series were in the works. After NHK’s broadcast in Japan, the post stated the new episodes would be released as the third part of the final season. The post also included a short video showing Armin, Mikasa, and the alliance of Paradis and Marley’s forces following one of Eren’s wall titans. The original tweet is below.
In recording Eren’s dialogue, Kaji even lost his voice, making this season of Attack on Titan one of the most heartbreaking yet. The episode featured Eren appealing to the Titan founder Ymir, before enacting his plans to start the Rumbling and fall of humanity outside of Paradis, shocking his once-closest friends and allies. Bryce Papenbrook, who portrays Eren in the English dub, stated in an interview with Screen Rant that voicing Eren was challenging due to the character’s unexpected turn on his closest friends in episode 75 “Savagery.”
While the last season focused on the manga’s “War for Paradis” arc, viewers were worried about what would happen after episode 87. In addition to the 130th chapter, there are nine chapters left to be adapted, with many anticipating the next few chapters will be converted into a film. The new announcement following “The Dawn of Humanity’s” Japanese broadcast should reassure fans that Attack on Titan’s successful anime adaptation will be faithfully concluded in 2023.
