Brandy Rayana Norwood, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and model. She was born on February 11, 1979. Her unusual tone, voice-layering, and complicated riffs have given her the moniker “the Vocal Bible” and made her music instantly recognisable.

Although she was born in McComb, Mississippi, Norwood spent much of her childhood in Carson, California, where she began her singing career as a backup singer for teenage bands. Brandy Early Life
The daughter of gospel singer and choir director Willie Norwood and H&R Block district manager Sonja Norwood (née Bates), Norwood was born on February 11, 1979, in McComb, Mississippi. She is the older sibling of fellow entertainer Ray J, as well as a cousin of such famous people as Snoop Dogg and Sasha Banks of WWE.
Norwood, who was brought up in a Christian environment, sang her first gospel solo at the tender age of two thanks to her father’s involvement in the church choir. Once her family moved to Carson, California in 1983, Norwood enrolled at the Hollywood High Performing Arts Center for her education.
At the age of seven, Norwood became a fan of singer Whitney Houston, which piqued her interest in music and singing. However, she had difficulty convincing teachers to send her to auditions because she received no support from the faculty. At the age of eleven, Norwood began participating in talent shows, and by her early twenties, she was a regular performer with a young singing group at a variety of events.
She began singing in 1990 after signing with Teaspoon Productions, run by Chris Stokes and Earl Harris, who put her to work as a backup singer for the R&B boy band Immature and produced a demo tape for her.
After an audition for Atlantic Recording Corporation head of A&R Darryl Williams in 1993, Norwood’s parents arranged a recording contract for their son. Norwood’s mother quit her work to manage her daughter, while Norwood herself left Hollywood High School after the tenth grade to be schooled privately.

Brandy Was Reportedly Admitted to Los Angeles for a Seizure
Brandy may have had a seizure on Tuesday, and she was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital.
According to TMZ’s reports citing law enforcement sources, the singer/L.A. actor’s residence called for emergency services around noon on Tuesday. TMZ claims that Brandy is doing fine after her medical emergency. As of Wednesday morning, her parents allegedly accompanied her to the hospital.
The LAPD has been notified by the Times. On Wednesday, The Times reached out to a representative for Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, but did not receive an immediate response. The Grammy winner was sent to the hospital in June 2017 after becoming ill during a flight on Delta Air Lines out of Los Angeles International Airport.
After the flight crew realised what had happened and returned to the gate, firefighters and paramedics arrived to take Brandy to the hospital. Brandy’s longtime publicist, Courtney Barnes, stated at the time, “The stress of all of the travelling and working so ceaselessly has worn her.” “She plans to take it easy over the next couple of days.”
Brandy, at 43 years old, is an R&B singer-songwriter whose biggest songs include “The Boy is Mine” and “I Wanna Be Down.” She has also appeared in films and television shows, such as the contemporary “Queens” and the classic “Cinderella” by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
