A football player named Curtis Samuel was born on August 11, 1996, in Brooklyn. The wide receiver was chosen by the Carolina Panthers as the 40th overall choice in round two of the 2017 NFL Draft. Even though he is ailing now, he still plays brilliantly on the field.

Samuel will on the field against the Titans on Sunday despite being ill. Despite not receiving many targets, rookie wideout Jahan Dotson (hamstring) won’t be taking the field. The startling dominance of Dotson in Carson Wentz’s touchdown throws (four out of eight) is a major factor in why Terry McLaurin and Samuel have only combined for three touchdowns despite having 527 more receiving yards.

While Carson Wentz and his wounded offensive line may struggle against Tennessee’s interior pass rush and talented safeties, Samuel and McLaurin’s matchups this week against a poor group of cornerbacks bode favourably for both players. Samuel averaged at least nine targets and one carry in each of Washington’s first three games, but in the 25-10 loss to Dallas last week, he only managed seven targets (4-38-0) and zero carries.

According to Matthew Paras of The Washington Times, Samuel will be absent from practice on Wednesday owing to sickness.

It’s too soon to be excessively concerned about Samuel’s Week 5 condition with only two more practises left before Sunday’s game versus Tennessee. But special attention must be paid to Samuel’s condition. Since Jahan Dotson (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Titans, Washington will need Samuel’s versatility.
