TAYLOR–Felicia. Longtime Palm Beach resident Felicia Roderica Sturt Taylor passed away at home on Friday, September 8, 2023. She was the daughter of The Birds actor Rod Taylor and fashion model Mary Hilem (later Schott) and was born in Los Angeles on August 28, 1964.

She had John Wayne and John Ford as godfathers, making her a genuine product of Hollywood. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northwestern University after graduating from Milton Academy.
After working as a weekend anchor for WNBC in New York and a business correspondent for the CNBC cable network, Ms. Taylor followed in her family’s footsteps and entered the film industry. She produced the well-regarded film “Far From Home,” which examines how climate change is affecting Senegalese citizens, especially its children.
Ms. Taylor has two marriages. Her first union with Charles Schuster was annulled. She wed Peter Gottsegen in November 2021; he survives her. She was a big supporter of South Florida PBS and a member of the Beach Club and Screen Actors Guild.
She is survived by a number of cousins in Virginia and the Carolinas, in addition to her husband. In Palm Beach, a memorial service is scheduled for January.
