“Horimiya” was a popular high school romance anime when it premiered in January 2021, despite the fact that the two protagonists appear to have very different personalities. Based on Hiroki Adachi’s web manga series of the same name that ran from 2007 to 2011 on her website, the 13-episode anime is based on the web manga’s 13 chapters. Later, the story was translated and illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara into the popular manga series “Horimiya,” published by Monthly GFantasy, and used as inspiration for an anime.
According to CloverWorks, this show centers on Kyouko Hori, a prim and proper social butterfly who excels in school but is hiding something from the rest of the students: she is in love with a shy kid named Miyamura, who appears tough on the outside but is really soft on the inside. An accidental encounter early in the anime leads to friendship and the sharing of secrets, which allows them to discover new sides to themselves and set the foundation for a long-term loving connection.
Many fans of “Horimiya” are wondering if there will be a second season that continues up to where the previous one left off, as the first season ended in April. Currently, There Is No Word For The Horimiya Season 2
If you’ve seen the first season of “Horimiya,” you know that the 13 episodes that were created covered the whole plot arc of the original manga, which had 122 chapters. The final episode features the graduation of the key couple and a happy finish with no loose ends. As a result, it would appear that a second season of the anime is unlikely to air. As things stand, the anime’s creators have given no indication that it will be renewed.
In spite of the fact that there are 122 chapters of the manga and only 13 episodes, it’s clear that “Horimiya” did not cover everything that happened in the manga. While some of these tales were covered in a short slideshow montage that wrapped up the anime, the remaining narratives could potentially be explored in future episodes. Is There Going To Be Horimiya Season 2′?
Season 2 of the anime has not yet been confirmed, and its comeback may be difficult. In the first season, the series’ storyline came to a close. There were no cliffhangers or secrets to be revealed in this story. Season 2 of the show may be canceled due to its satisfying conclusion, as there is no more story to be told. Along with these new additions, though, the anime series has kept pace with its original source material. After the manga’s last chapter 122 was published in March 2021, there was no more material for a new season.
The last episode was based on the manga’s final chapter, which depicted Katagiri Senior High School students’ graduation day.
Horimiya Season 2 May No Longer Be Possible Due To A Lack Of Source Material
A possible release date for the second season of “Horimiya” has been speculated. “Horimiya” may not be returning for a second season after all. Although the show has not been formally canceled, the possibility of a second season remains remote.
In the first season, which began on January 10th of the year 2021 and ended on April 4th of the same year, there were 13 episodes. This season’s premiere could take place as early as 2022 or 2023 if the show is resurrected for season 2.

Horimiya’s Second Season Plot: What’s in Store?
Izumi Miyamura, an introverted and bashful male, and Kyoko Hori, an attractive and popular girl, are the main characters of ‘Horimiya’. Their socioeconomic standing and outlook couldn’t be further dissimilar; despite the fact that they attended the same high school, their on-campus demeanors are carefully crafted to mask their true selves from the outside world. During the day, Izumi dresses up in a punk style, replete with piercings and tattoos, while he is out and about in the world. Kyoko, on the other hand, dresses more casually and is responsible for her younger brother Souta.
When they run into each other outside of school, they pledge to keep their secrets hidden from their peers. The two gradually became romantically attracted to one another as the story progressed. Toward the end, they eventually admitted their feelings for each other, and their friends were supportive and happy for them. Their high school careers came to an end in the series’ penultimate episode.
If the show is renewed for a second season, we may expect to see a continuation of Kyoko and Izumi’s romance. The primary material has already been exhausted in the first season. The anime must therefore come up with a new story if it wants to continue.
