A date has been set for the second season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord to be released in 2021. Season two’s title is How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord: Omega.
TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) has confirmed the number of episodes for the second season of the Japanese television series. The series’ tenth episode, How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord, will serve as its climactic conclusion.
The second season will “come to Crunchyroll 2021,” according to a statement made at Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2020.
Trailers for the upcoming second season of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord were released on February 22, 2021.
Anime fans are eagerly anticipating the release of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 since the story of Diablo, Rem, and Shera had just begun to take an interesting turn.
However, since Tezuka Productions has taken over the production of Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu Season 2 from Ajia-Do, several aspects have changed. For the most part, Studio Ajia-Do isn’t known for making anime sequels. (although they have done straight-up explicit anime before). As of 2016, Izetta: The Final Witch was their last big anime project, which was a standalone story.
They co-produced a number of long-running anime programs with studio Sunrise (the makers of Code Geass) more than a decade ago. Ajia-Do decided not to return to produce How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 for a variety of reasons.
When it comes to the anime series The Quintessential Quintuplets, it was Tezuka Productions who brought us the first season.
The core staff of the Demon Lord anime has also been reshuffled as a result of the studio shift.
Yuta Murano has been replaced as director by Satoshi Kuwabara (The Quintessential Quintuplets). Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover, By the Grace of Gods, Dropkick on My Devil! ), a series composition writer, and Shizue Kaneko (Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us), a character designer, are both returning for the new series.
Diablo (Masaaki Mizunaka), Shera L Greenwood (Yu Serizawa), and Rem Galleu (Serizawa) are all returning to the Japanese voice cast (Azumi Waki). All four original cast members will be returning, including Miku Ito, Aoi Koga, and Fumiko Uchimura. Chinatsu Akasaki will play Fanis Laminitus.
“Everybody Everybody” and “You You You” were the OP and ED theme songs for Season 2 of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord. Both songs feature Yuu Serizawa in collaboration with DJ KOO and MOTSU.
The new OP song was included in a preview video published during AnimeJapan 2021.
How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Season 1’s Blu-ray/DVD box set is scheduled to be released in February of 2021.
