The acclaimed adolescent drama Euphoria follows a group of high school students. Javon “Wanna” Walton portrays Ashtray, the newest member. He was around 11 when he first appeared in season 1. On the other hand, in season 2, the tattooed drug dealer is 13.

Boxer-turned-actress from ‘Euphoria’
Walton started boxing at the age of 4 and became a prodigy. He was 11 when he won the Georgia state tournament. As a result, he became the first individual to hold both state gymnastics and swimming championships. But Hollywood saw the young athlete during his training for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Jennifer Venditti witnessed Walton do boxing and gymnastics on The Steve Harvey Show. She asked Javon’s father, DJ, if he wanted to act as well.
But that was his first acting role. Walton landed a role in Amazon’s Utopia thriller. A street-smart youngster from the slums named Grant finds a mystery comic novel titled Utopia, in which he appeared. With hints regarding real-life conspiracies.
This summer, Ashtray, the ‘Euphoria’ star, turns 16
Walton is now 15 years old, two seasons into Euphoria Samaritan, starring Sylvester Stallone, will be released in theatres in July.
However, they were still filming when COVID hit in March of that year, causing them to stop shooting. The film will now be released in August 2022, after several delays.

Season 2 of Euphoria took fans back to Ashtray’s youth to learn more about his relationship with Fezco and his parents (Angus Cloud). Euphoria cast Walton’s brother Daelo as younger Ashtray.
“This is a true story. So I’m going back to where I auditioned for Euphoria And he ended up killing it as Ashtray,” Walton told Complex.
And he really wanted to be like baby Ashtray, which was hilarious. He loved Daelo for that part. We forwarded it to Sam Levinson.
It’s A Win-win For Both Walton Brothers
With so many opportunities already provided, Walton considers Euphoria a terrific first job. For him and his younger sibling.
“Daelo did well. My younger brother being an actor is amazing. I love to act. For three or four years now,” Walton says. To be a part of acting today and share this journey with me is incredible.
‘Euphoria’s’ Ashtray is a youthful character.
Ashtray’s gun-toting grandma abandoned him as a baby. He was mainly raised by Fezco, who lost his grandmother and caretaker at a young age as well. Weeding in the bathtub was Ash’s nickname, and Fez had to grow up fast.
That’s why we’re taken aback when we meet Ash. Given that Season 1 ends a year later, Ashtray is around 12 or 13 in Season 2. With that in mind, we’re hoping Ash can find a more fruitful route shortly.

Young Ashtray Is Played By Javon “wanna” Walton
It’s true that Javon “Wanna” Walton is the same age as several of the main characters in Euphoria. As a 2006 baby, Javon was just 12 when he started playing Ashtray in Euphoria. Javon’s age difference with his character expanded because to COVID-19 delays and time between seasons
Despite this, Javon is a talented performer with a bright future. Javon has also appeared in Utopia and The Addams Family 2 on Amazon Prime.
