Kelly Osbourne’s Early Life
Osbourne was first into this world in the Westminster area of London. Her older sister’s name is Aimee, and her younger brother’s name is Jack. From Ozzy’s first marriage, she also has two half-siblings: Jessica Hobbs and Louis John Osbourne. Sharon and Ozzy “unofficially” adopted Robert Marcato after Marcato’s mother passed away.
Kelly spent much of her childhood on the road with her musician father, relocating more than twenty times around the United States and the United Kingdom. Her paternal grandfather was the English music executive Don Arden (Harry Levy). Her mom comes from an Irish grandmother and a Jewish mother. Osbourne attended Pipers Corner School, a private all-girls institution in England.
Kelly Osbourne’s Career
After Osbourne’s daughter Aimee left the family, the rest of the Osbournes became the stars of the MTV reality show The Osbournes, which ran from 2002 to 2005. The show followed the family as they went about their daily lives, depicting them as a dysfunctional family who routinely subjected themselves to heavy metal music, foul language, and other forms of harshness. When Kelly, the middle child, came of age, she became known as “a wickedly witty, brutally honest, pint-size, potty-mouthed spitfire,” as described by Rolling Stone.
She was seventeen when the series began, and she was twenty when it concluded. Kelly revealed that the film team was only intended to be there for a few weeks, but ended up remaining for a few months and that the continual concentration of the cameras on her and her family was difficult, all in an interview for The Osbournes DVD. Kelly Osbourne dated Bert McCracken, lead vocalist for the band The Used, in 2002, during the show’s second season. For decades, the family has called California home, and that’s where the episode was shot.
In the Channel 4 comedy Bo’ Selecta, Kelly (played by Leigh Francis) wears a rubber mask and has her own program, despite constant censorship due to the use of the bleep sign. Fashion critics like Steven Cojocaru took notice of Osbourne’s dynamic and cutting-edge wardrobe after she made an appearance on the reality show. Stiletto Killers, Osbourne’s fashion brand, was released in 2004 in collaboration with her friend and former sponsor, Ali Barone.
Osbourne and Barone’s range of rock-inspired tees, knickers, hoodies, and sweatpants, Stiletto Killers, featured cartoonish drawings and punk rock lyrics. In addition, the SK Collection offered a more refined haute-couture line. It was in April of 2006 that Stiletto Killers finally shut down. In 2002, Epic Records published her debut album, titled Shut Up, to lukewarm reception in the United States but to widespread acclaim in Europe. Covering Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach,” Houston’s Pure Rubbish released the song as the show’s first single at the 2002 MTV Movie Awards.
Despite the album’s top spot on Billboard’s Heatseekers list, Osbourne was dropped by Epic Records in May of 2003 due to negative critical reception. By the fall, she was signed to the Sanctuary label, and she and her dad even recorded a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” together. The collaboration topped the UK singles chart, leading to a new release of Shut Up titled Changes.
Even though it sold more copies than the week it was at the top of the charts, “Changes” dropped from position one to position three. With the “Chris Cox Club Remix” of “One Word,” Osbourne became the first artist to simultaneously top all three dance surveys on the Billboard charts. Osbourne had previously stated that she was content with her weight, but the album cover for her second album, Sleeping in the Nothing, caused controversy due to rumors that it had been substantially altered to make her look thinner.
Kelly Osbourne’s Unrecognizable Transformation
Rolling Stone called Kelly Osbourne a “wickedly humorous, brutally honest, pint-size, potty-mouthed spitfire” after she debuted on The Osbournes on MTV. Kelly Osbourne, the middle child of rock legend Ozzy and talk show personality Sharon Osbourne, was frequently seen in an enraged state throughout the series.
Later, she’d say the camera crew overstayed their welcome by several weeks, making for a “stressful” experience. Meanwhile, she was also struggling with a heroin addiction that had begun when she was only 13 years old. Because of the high cost of Vicodin, Kelly switched to heroin after she became addicted to the drug while treating tonsillitis.
Then, I had a terrible case of tonsillitis and kept becoming unwell. Kelly said to Jada Pinkett Smith on Red Table Talk, “They ended up having to give me some insane operation, and then after that, they gave me Vicodin, and that was all I needed.” “I went from hearing, ‘You’re overweight, you’re ugly, you’re not good enough, no one loves you, you don’t deserve this, people only like you because of who your parents are,’ to hearing, ‘You’re fat, you’re ugly, you’re good enough, you don’t deserve this, you deserve this.’
