Kelsea Ballerini is an American country pop singer and songwriter, born on September 12, 1993, in Nashville, Tennessee. Before signing with Black River Entertainment in 2014 to release her debut studio album The First Time, she began writing songs as a youngster. Her second studio album, Unapologetically, followed in 2017. There have been seven songs from Ballerini’s first two albums that have made the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, which means that people have heard them. It was her debut song “Love Me Like You Mean It” that made her the first female artist since Carrie Underwood in 2006 to send a debut single to the top of the latter’s chart. It was followed by “Dibs” and “Peter Pan,” whose peak positions made her the first female country singer since Wynonna Judd to have her first three singles reach the top of that chart. “Legends” is Ballerini’s fourth No. 1 song, and it’s called that. Her third and fourth studio albums, Kelsea and Ballerini, were both released in 2020.
Ballerini was born and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she lived for a long time. Father Ed is of Italian heritage and was a former sales manager for a country radio station in the United States of America. Carla, her mother, has worked in marketing for a sponsorship firm and the Thomas Nelson Bible publishing house. She grew up as the only child of her parents. She started taking dance lessons at Premiere Dance Studio in Seymour, Tennessee when she was three and ended ten years later. She sang in the church and school choirs, as well. She composed her first song aged 12 for her mother and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, three years later. Before pursuing a career in music, she attended Knoxville Central High School, Franklin Centennial High School, and Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kelsea Ballerini Will Host CMT Music Awards
The CMT Music Awards made the best of the last-minute absence of co-host Kelsea Ballerini, who tested positive for COVID-19 days before Monday’s ceremony. Co-host Anthony Mackie went solo at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville after opening performances on the live CBS broadcast of Keith Urban single “Wild Hearts” and Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson’s duet “Never Say Never”. Mackie, a star of the movie “Avengers,” said that everyone was excited to see Kelsea Ballerini on stage tonight, but she’s a little sick. We also have backup KBs at the CMA Awards, just like in the NFL. Kane Brown, a singer who was called in to aid with hosting responsibilities, appeared as his “KB” substitute on stage after him. As a result, Brown, who has been a host of this show twice before, has been named the night’s biggest winner.
Singers Thomas Rhett and Martina McBride offered their services as hosts but were turned down. Then Ballerini appeared on a large screen from home, decked out in a complete awards-show outfit in her living room. This is my regular Monday night, in full glam, with lighting I set up myself, and a remote truck outside,” Ballerini said. “I wish I could be there with you, but I’ll be checking in on you from time to time throughout the evening.” She sang her new single “Heartfirst” alone with a white guitar and a mint-green sparkle minidress later on in the show. This was one of many costume changes she made during the night. Behind her, images of her band were shown on a curtain. This was the first major award show appearance by the Judds in nearly two decades. Naomi, at the age of 76, and Wynonna, at the age of 57, sang their iconic 1990 song “Love Can Build a Bridge.”

They were accompanied by a gospel choir in the performance that was pre-recorded outside the Country Music Hall of Fame. First, Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood, who sang “If I Didn’t Love You,” won a fan-voted award for the best country music video of the year for their duet. The fans have reacted so well to this song this year, Aldean said. As far as the CMT Awards are concerned, this was Underwood’s record-breaking 24th win. “Thanks to all of you fans. Thank you, CMT!” Underwood exclaimed.
In a pre-recorded performance from her Las Vegas engagement, Underwood sang “Ghost Story” and flew into the air on a cloth swing suspended from the ceiling à la Cirque du Soleil. Aldean and Adams sang Brian Adams’ 1980s song “Heaven”. Miranda Lambert later earned her sixth Country Music Television Award for female video of the year for “If I Was a Cowboy.” This is an exciting time for women in country music, and I’m honored to be a part of it.” The show’s hosting change wasn’t the only hiccup: lightning-caused the closure of the CMT’s pink carpet before most of the celebs came to have their photos taken and be interviewed.
The rain also fell on a part of an outdoor stage that had been set up for some performances. The artists, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy the rain, though. The two of them stepped beneath it and got soaked. Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Mickey Guyton, Black Pumas, Maren Morris, and Ryan Hurd also performed.
