At the age of 55, Lee Siegfried, who was most known to listeners of The Howard Stern Show as Crazy Cabbie, passed away.

Radio DJ Cane Peterson verified the tragic news on social media. “Sad update on this Easter Sunday,” he wrote. “At 7:09 last night, Lee Siegfried…Crazy Cabbie, peacefully passed away with the love of his life Lexi by his side.”

Peterson went on, “He is no longer in pain, and he is now with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Nobody did radio better than Cabbie, and everyone who knew him loved him. He had a razor-sharp wit, an insatiable lust for life, and most importantly he had a heart of gold. We had our moments, but we were brothers who loved each other very much. Until next time, my friend.”

The DJ participated in several boxing contests while he was a guest on the Howard Stern Show. He was also employed by 92.3 K-Rock in New York. In one fight, Crazy Cabbie faced off against Angry Black of the Wack Pack, while in another, he faced off against John Melendez, who was stuttering.

Fans posted condolence comments on social media after learning about the shocking news of his passing. “R.I.P. Crazy Cabbie from @sternshow,” said one person on Twitter, while “I will never forget Crazy Cabbie describing his view of the Towers from his roof,” added another.
