It’s possible that Lisa Rinna’s resignation from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was preordained by the gods. In an interview with ES Magazine released on Thursday, the actress and former reality TV star discussed why she left the Bravo series after eight seasons.
“Who wants to quit?” What Rinna told the British media. It was time, though, and I think we all knew it. That show has been running for eight years… Besides making more memes, what else could I have done?
But seriously, Rinna added that her dream of her mother, Lois Rinna, who passed away in November 2021, gave her some unexpected motherly counsel. She decided to leave “RHOBH” partly because of that.

“She came to me,” Rinna explained. To paraphrase, “It’s so crazy because half the world will believe this, and half the world will say, ‘That’s so weird.'” When I woke, she said, “It’s time for you to go.”
“I told a psychic, and she said, ‘Oh yeah, she’s come to me and told me that. She wants you to be happy and follow your dream, but she says it’s time for you to go,'” Rinna continued. “I’m guided by my mom, for sure.”
Along with Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley, Rinna made her debut on Season 4 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2014, and she remained a regular cast member for Seasons 5 through 12. After nearly a decade on the show, she announced her departure in January.

In a statement to People magazine, “Rinna expressed her appreciation to “everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series,” noting that this was the longest employment she had held in her 35-year career. I enjoyed our eight years together and look forward to what the future holds.”
The increasingly angry attitude from fans was also a factor in Rinna’s decision to depart, she claimed. “I think the world itself has gotten so volatile that the response doesn’t match what we’re doing,” she remarked. I didn’t want to be in that situation forever. That’s not a good way to live.
“The fan base’s reaction to the show now is not what it was when I first started,” Rinna said in an interview with ES Magazine. We were receiving death threats, you know. This reality program has some of the most disturbing content I’ve ever encountered on paper. It’s an inane program. My mind told me, “Get out of here!” To be perfectly frank with you, I’m not sure how much longer that can survive in the cultural consciousness.
