During a traffic stop in Concord Township, a loaded gun was found beneath the driver’s seat, according to Lake County Sheriff deputies.
Deputies report that on April 1, a driver was stopped for traffic and equipment infractions at Route 44 and I-90.
According to a Facebook post by the Lake County Sheriff, when questioned if he possessed any firearms or narcotics, the driver replied in the negative.
According to deputies, a K-9 conducted an open sniff surrounding the car and detected narcotics. During the search, the weapon—a Panther Arms DA-15 firearm—and drugs were discovered.
