Ray Stevenson Heart Attack
While filming the scene of Cassino on the island of Ischia, Ray Stevenson unexpectedly became unwell. He was taken to the hospital on the island of Ischia, Italy, where filming was taking place. After being sent to the emergency room on May 21 for chest pain, he was pronounced dead on May 22. It was reported that Stevenson experienced chest issues during filming, prompting his hospitalization.

A day after Stevenson’s death, on May 24, 2023, his publicist announced the news. Although a heart attack has been widely reported as the cause of Stevenson’s death, no autopsy has ever been performed to corroborate this.
It was in the Disney+ show Ahsoka that Stevenson was last seen in a starring role. His final interview was a glowing tribute to his performance in the show. Posthumously, the show gave him credit, and in the first episode’s closing credits, they said, “For our friend, Ray.”
