Samantha’s de@th from ovarian cancer was announced in May via a post to her official Instagram account. According to the post, Sam passed away at Toronto’s Princess Margaret Hospital at 11:25 a.m. on May 14.

Samantha, diagnosed with germ-cell yolk sac tumour ovarian cancer in July 2022, shared her story in an essay for Love What Matters. She claimed that the change occurred “almost overnight,” adding that she had her first clue that something was off when she returned from a party at a friend’s house feeling notably swollen.
