Her mother Margot (Kate Beahan) and friend Abbie Gibson take her in (Adrienne Pickering). Ari (Kai Lewins), their adolescent son, Thommo (Dustin Clare), and Honey, Ari’s younger sister, reside with Abbie (Asmara Feik).
Despite her best attempts, Summer ultimately develops a love for the town, its residents, and above all the surf. She succeeds in creating a commotion among Ari’s close friends once more, leaving a mess in her wake. Ten episodes made up the show.

Spoiler warning After spending a productive time in Australia, Summer is brought home at the end of the first season. If the programme is given a second season, it will probably begin with Summer in New York. Either the plot thickens to present a fresh obstacle to return to Australia, or her new companions decide to immigrate to America to follow their surfing ambitions.
