Our hope for The Republic of Sarah season 2 was dashed after today’s CW finale. It’s not going to happen. Because the show was recently canceled, the season finale is now the series finale.

The Republic of Sarah had a 0.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with over 320,000 live viewers, making it one of The CW’s lowest-rated original series of the previous year. It’s hard to justify keeping a show going with these figures.
A lack of worldwide success for this show’s notion surely stung as well. Many of them will have a better chance of being in the air for a long time. There wasn’t a big-name star to utilize to get fans to watch The Republic of Sarah. Lots of concerts with no audience need that.
In the short term, we don’t see another network picking up the show for a second season.
