Troy Everett Bernardo was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. We regret to inform you of his passing away. All of those who knew and loved Troy are left with a loss in their hearts as a result of his sudden passing on September 13, 2023.

Troy left a lasting legacy on everyone he met by living his life with an adventurous spirit and a joyous heart. Troy, a proud alumnus of Florida International University and a member of Phi Gamma Delta set off on a cross-continental voyage because he was excited about the discovery.
His passion for adventure led him to work with Americorps in Alaska before followed him to Jinju, South Korea, where he met Laura, the love of his life. Their romance developed and reached its pinnacle in a stunning wedding in 2016. They went on many trips together, starting in Minnesota and ending in California before relocating to Florida to be nearer to family.

In February 2022, they welcomed a valuable gift into the world: their daughter Alice. Troy was a man of countless skills and passions. He was motivated to pursue his Master’s in Education at Augsburg College by his time spent working to close a gap in educational success in Minnesota.
He also explored his love of creative writing, graduating from San Diego Mesa College with a credential. Troy’s published works, which include short tales, poetry, and a book, displayed his literary prowess. His literary works were honoured to be displayed at the Pinellas Art Gallery as the crowning achievement of his career.
His interests and pastimes were not limited to writing. Troy loved athletics and was an enthusiastic runner, swimmer, and swimmer. He was renowned for sharing his interest in microbrews with others around him. Despite all of his achievements, Troy’s greatest satisfaction and delight came from being a loving father and spouse.
He had always been devoted to his family and never wavered in that. He actively participated in making ready for Alice’s birth, from setting up the baby registry to setting up the nursery. He was Laura’s unwavering support throughout her pregnancy and labour.
