Elyse Myers captured our attention with her viral 100-taco date storytime, spreading joy and positivity across TikTok’s For You pages. Yet, a recent visit to her profile reveals an unexpected turn of events—her content has vanished.
With a bio now hinting at a break from the app, fans are left wondering: What prompted Elyse’s departure from TikTok, and will she make a comeback? Join us as we delve into the mystery behind Elyse’s sudden absence and speculate on her potential return to the platform.
Why Did Elyse Myers Deleted Her TikTok?
On TikTok, Elyse has shared funny stories from her life, news about her crochet projects, and glimpses into her life as a mom. Oliver, her second child, was born with a serious heart problem called a ventricular septal defect.
Even though Elyse tried to keep her posts upbeat, people often talked about the crisis in Gaza in her comments, even though she was having a hard time at home.
These comments were part of Operation Watermelon, a TikTok movement started by Angie (@angie_mariie) to get people to talk about Gaza and the current crisis the Palestinian people are going through on the accounts of famous artists. Unfortunately, this quickly turned ugly with Elyse’s words, and some people started bothering her for not officially supporting Gaza.
Elyse Myers was bullied off of TikTok because she never spoke about Palestine.

Supporters of Operation Watermelon were told to comment on a few of Elyse’s videos. However, since October, almost every video she’s posted has had something about Gaza in the comments, which is what many people think made her decide to take a break from her account.
Some TikTokers have criticized the users who take part in Operation Watermelon, saying that it is the right of a maker not to talk about a problem they may not know much about.
As others have noted, the goal was never to harass the targeted artists; rather, it was to raise awareness by motivating people who were ignorant of the Gaza issue to look out for information on their own.
Creator Sierra (@xqueengeek) said in a video, “The point of this isn’t to force creators to talk about it but to raise awareness so that when people read the comments and see certain names or things, they go, ‘What’s that?’ and look it up, and there you go—you’re spreading awareness. And if I remember correctly the original goal was to only comment on one or two specific videos on these pages.”
Because of this, Elyse’s comments area got out of hand, which led to the abuse that went on while she didn’t say anything about it.
According to reports, Angie is no longer in charge of Operation Watermelon. However, when she was, she went after famous people like Taylor Swift and Mikayla Nogueira.
Is Elyse Myers Going To Come Back To TikTok?
Elyse’s bio says that she is only taking a break from TikTok. Whether she decides to come back or not will depend on her own schedule and how well she is doing. There are no longer any posts on her TikTok or Instagram, but the videos on her YouTube account are still there.
It’s not clear if she will keep posting videos every week on YouTube, but they may be on hold while she stays away from other social media apps.
