It was widely assumed that Andrew Garfield will feature in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was released in December.
In 2012’s, The Amazing Spider-Man, Garfield made his screen debut as Spider-Man. When he reprised the character in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 two years later, his spidey senses were tingling again. The death of Gwen Stacy, portrayed by Emma Stone, brought the sequel to a poignant close.
Garfield claims he wasn’t expecting to ever have a discussion again about maybe portraying Peter Parker, but a phone call from producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal and director Jon Watts giving Garfield a chance at atonement altered everything.
Garfield’s Spider-Man saves Holland’s love interest, MJ, represented by Zendaya in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Garfield’s choice to return to the series was solidified by this storyline.

He went on to say that his character’s return to the series helped him to “heal the most horrific time” and that his character receiving a second opportunity to rescue Gwen is “cosmically beautiful.”
Garfield, who has appeared in several films and television shows “”Tick, tick, BOOM!”, “Hacksaw Ridge,” and “The Social Network.”
He had this to say about his role as the eponymous adolescent turned superhero: “Those characters, Peter and Spider-Man, are all about serving the greater good and benefiting the many. He’s a Queens, New York, working-class kid who understands what it’s like to suffer and lose loved ones. The ethical framework of Peter Parker would help me if I had the chance to return to that tale and tell more of it, but I would have to be really confident in my abilities.
Spider-Man: No Way Home” created history at the US box office, grossing a record-breaking $260 million. It was the second biggest opening movie ever. Higher opening weekend statistics were only achieved by 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” which is one of the biggest movies ever.
