The American TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio and her partner, the self-proclaimed “loser” Mark Ballas, won Dancing With the Stars Season 2023 on Monday night. Tyra Banks, the show’s host, kept the suspense going by waiting to reveal the winner amongst the finalists until after the show’s closing credits aired.
So shocking was Banks’ reading of the card that she exclaimed, “Oh my God!” before announcing Charli’s name. Ten weeks of exhausting competition culminated in the almost improbable victory of the Tik Tok Star. All around the dance floor are upbeat professionals and amateurs alike.
Len Goodman, the show’s true judge, announced his withdrawal from the competition, making S31 a watershed moment. Given that Cheryl Burke, a professional dancer and two-time Mirror Ball winner, will not be competing in the next season, the cast will be reduced by one.
Will There Be An All-Winners Of Dancing With The Stars 2023?
Is an all-winner season of Dancing With the Stars in the works? It’s unclear, but Derek Hough seems keen on having one. After 17 seasons as a professional dancer, Hough is now a judge on the ABC competition. In August 2023, he showed interest in an all-star edition of the show, but with just winners.
A group of MCG alumni and faculty participated in the 2023 Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge to benefit the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia. The event raised a record-breaking $215,000. It is the 10th year of the “Dancing with the Stars”-style competition. pic.twitter.com/C2in8ocq2Y

During the conversation, Hough discussed the new season and reflected on his time on the show. His favorite DWTS moment occurred during Season 15’s all-star format when past participants danced for the Mirrorball trophy again.
The stellar cast included 13 recurring duos. Hough and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson made a comeback on the stage. As for Season 15, “When I did the all-star season with Shawn Johnson, we ended up coming in second,” Hough remarked. One of my favorite seasons ever; I was heartbroken when it ended.
Hough continued by saying he’d want to do another all-stars season with “some of the OGs” like Mario Lopez from Season 3 and his partner Amy Purdy from Season 18. However, the sitting judge devised a plan B that would significantly impact. He suggested making an all-Winners edition of the program (a la RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars). Hough predicted that the next season would be pretty competitive.

Assuming that negotiations regarding an all-winners season had occurred, Hough confessed that he was unsure how serious they were. Hough included former teammates Bindi Irwin and Nicole Scherzinger in his ideal all-winners cast.
“I think Rashad Jennings would love to return,” he said. Donny Osmond, I’m sure he, ‘d also love to make a comeback. The great Jordan Fisher included.
When asked whether he would want to see Mirrorball champion and co-host Ribeiro compete in an all-star tournament alongside previous winners, he said, “No, not now… We can’t have Alfonso back now that he’s a host. Hough said he didn’t envision himself in a winner’s circle and would never give up his judging paddles.
You might say I got all the juice out of that lemon, so to speak. “I really enjoy my time in the judicial system,” he said. Since “I love to entertain, love to perform,” and “if it is something that audiences want to see,” I never say “never.”
