Joseph Baena has always looked to have a good connection with his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, but despite starting his career as an actor, he has never capitalised on the immediately famous surname. He explains why in a recent E! Online interview with Loni Love and Morgan Stewart.
“There’s a few different variables in that,” said Baena. “But that’s just not my main priority at the moment, so I’m just focused on building myself up and building my career in acting and real estate and just focusing on that right now.”
Former California Gov. Arnold @Schwarzenegger tells @smerconish he invested in reopening polling stations and is advocating for a new voting rights act.

Baena does, however, invite comparisons to his famous father on his Instagram page, where he frequently flaunts his gains from Gold’s Gym in Venice by flexing and recreating some of Schwarzenegger’s most iconic poses from his heyday as a professional bodybuilder, during which he won the prestigious Mr. Olympia title no less than seven times in a row.
Schwarzenegger and Baena have a love for fitness and weightlifting; they routinely work out together, and Baena has characterised his father as the “greatest training partner in the world,” who pushes him and never allows him to “cheat” on an activity.
“I mean, my dad is a stallion,” Baena added in the interview. “He’s a man’s man, I like to think, and I look up to him a lot… So in a way, he’s influenced a lot of things: the path that I have taken with acting, with fitness and my physique and the many other things that I’m doing.”
