The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Release Date
The release date for the second season of The Rising of the SHIELD Hero has been confirmed. The official Japanese website for The Rising of the Shield Hero confirmed today that Season 2 will be released on April 6th, 2022.
Crunchyroll will stream the second season each week in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. A Wednesday, April 6th, coincides with the original broadcast date in Japan, so the show will air on that day. Crunchyroll’s release date has not yet been announced. Nonetheless.
Kinema Citrus (the production company behind the show) was forced to delay the start of the second season by two years from its original October 2021 launch date. There was no explanation for the delay given by the production team or its distribution partners, but the ongoing problems in Japan caused by the coronavirus pandemic may have been a factor.
At this time, we do not know how many episodes will be in Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero; the first season had 25.
