Toddler Survived, 3 Died In Polk County Crash
There are three fatalities from a head-on collision in Polk County. It occurred in unincorporated Lake Wales at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hannah Wieser, 22, was allegedly driving a 2015 Ford Flex west on State Road 60 East when the incident occurred, according to investigators.
Wieser, according to officials, got into the eastbound lane to pass the Kia that was in front of her.
According to PCSO, Wieser’s Ford Flex then collided head-on with a Ford F-150.
Wieser and the couple in the F-150, Luis Rodriguez, 54, and Jomar Maldonado, 52, of Port St. Lucie, died in the incident.
Jaydyn, their 3-year-old grandchild, escaped the collision and is anticipated to fully recover.
