Tom Cruise is an American producer and actor. He is without question one of the most prominent figures in Hollywood. In addition, he is one of the highest-paid actors in the world. He is also one of the highest-grossing box office stars in history. His films have grossed nearly $4 billion in North America and over $10.1 billion globally (excluding the opening weekend of Top Gun: Maverick, which earned him his first $100 million).
In addition to nominations for three Academy Awards and a British Academy Film Award, the Hollywood superstar has garnered a number of awards, including an Honorary Palme d’Or, three Golden Globes, and a British Academy Film Award.
As he makes more public appearances for the promotion of his film Top Gun: Maverick, more people are seeing him, leading to accusations that he has undergone plastic surgery. We have already discussed Winona Ryder and Kellyanne Conway’s plastic surgery procedures.
Tom Cruise’s Plastic Surgery
Tom Cruise (@tomcruise) is unlikely to publicly admit that he has had fillers, Botox, laser therapy, hair transplant, and skin tightening treatments, but plastic surgery experts believe he has.
Tom Cruise is now riding high on the buzz for his new film Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to the film Top Gun, which was released in 1986. Tom has been putting out all the stops to promote the famous action film’s sequel. Some of these promotional activities may have even been offensive to some individuals. Obviously, I am referring to the recent event in the United Kingdom celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, where Tom Cruise made the most odd appearance.

Not only made a strange appearance, but also pushed his Hollywood film at an event designed to honour and mark the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, something the British did not appreciate. They wasted no time and immediately took to Twitter to bash him for stealing the focus from the Queen. While Brits could not get over how he stole the spotlight from their Queen, Americans became consumed with how handsome he was.

A few days later, he walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, which garnered him additional attention. It begs the question, ‘Did Tom Cruise undergo plastic surgery?’ as he turns 60 in July and appeared so young, healthy, and handsome. Fans were pleasantly thrilled to see Tom Cruise once again resembling himself.
Apparently, they have not forgotten how he appeared overly round-faced in a baseball game at the end of 2021. In October of last year, he was photographed at the National League Division Series game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds looking indistinguishable. His face appeared bloated enough for many to notice and suspect plastic surgery.
Dawn Attewell, a Registered Aesthetics Nurse, explained that the swollen face was caused by excessive filler and post-procedure swelling, but he now appears more youthful as a consequence of hair transplant and skin tightening procedures.
The creator of AMS Aesthetics, Amar Suchde, believed that his radiant complexion was the result of laser treatment.

In any case, Tom Cruise fueled allegations of fillers at the game. Some individuals objected that it may simply be a weight gain, but facial weight gain? Many disagreed since it appeared unattractive and he could not fit in his body but not on his face. There were some unpleasant comments, such as ‘Tom Cruise didn’t age, he got some horrific work done on his face that ballooned him like a frog,’ that should not have been included, but in general, everyone agreed that he had plastic surgery, most likely fillers, on his face.

However, Tom Cruise never made such a statement. This is not the first time that Tom’s plastic surgery has been suspected. Even in 2012, discussions about his undergoing plastic surgery, specifically a rhinoplasty, were all the rage. Because he never admitted to it, the rumour waned, but it resurfaced in 2016 after his performance at the BAFTAs. His complexion was later described on Twitter as’stretched,’ ‘exfoliated,’ and ‘pinched.’
It was not the first time that he had met with the renowned plastic surgeon Ivo Pitanguy while in Brazil in 2011, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Even the doctor was invited to the Rio premiere of Knight and Day. This does not prove that he underwent plastic surgery, but it does not rule out the possibility either.
Anyway, in 2016, it was speculated that Tom Cruise had purchased a new face with Botox and fillers. He had never verified anything of the such, but perhaps they could tell since “his expression was like when you inadvertently overinflate your bicycle tyres.” Avoiding plastic surgery rumours about him quickly became an impossible mission for him.
When Tom Cruise came down for an interview with Playboy, the elephant in Hollywood was ultimately addressed, but fans did not receive the response they had anticipated from the Jack Reacher actor. When asked if he has undergone plastic surgery, he responded, “No, and I never will.” Never and never will? Really? Looks don’t lie, Tom. It appears that he has forgotten it.
Tom Cruise’s Jerry Maguire co-star Cuba Gooding Jr. may have intended to remind him of this when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live and discussed the time he got dots on his face. Perhaps he was aware of Top Gun’s actors’ selective amnesia, so he began his story to ensure Tom would never forget. He said,
Tom Cruise may not have recalled, because he never admitted to plastic surgery after that. Not that he owes anyone an explanation for having work done. He has never promoted any goods that allegedly aid achieve his appearance. Not that his appearance would help sell such things.
Fans have thus far just made fun of the state of his face, which they claim is the result of incompetent plastic surgery. Or perhaps he is simply lying. The National Enquirer holds this view. According to the National Enquirer, the talented actor is determined to keep his boyish good looks and remain at the top of the heap as he nears his sixties – through plastic surgery.
