Say it’s not true! Nearly a year after getting engaged, Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya, a Bachelorette couple, have been fending off breakup rumors. Did Michelle and Nate divorce, wonder many of their followers?
On Friday, June 17, the former reality star announced their breakup in an Instagram Stories post, stating that their public relationship “has not been easy.” Michelle added, referring to Nayte as her “best friend,” “I’m struggling to say that Nayte and I will be going our separate ways yet I stand with him in recognizing the sadness that is present in both of our hearts as this connection has been so real for us.”
I will always acknowledge and appreciate the experiences, help, and development that both Nayte and this event have offered me, she continued. In a statement that was similar to Nayte’s, he said that the two had come to the realization that “sometimes the people you hold dear to your heart aren’t the people you’re supposed to spend the rest of your life with.”
“Hearts are heavy, emotions are high, and we are dealing with this the best we can,” he said, adding that. Nayte continued by saying that, particularly while dealing with the separation, he and Michelle are both “private people.”

Did Michelle & Nayte From The Bachelorette Split?
There were several rumors regarding Michelle and Nayte breaking their engagement before the split announcement. In a message exchange with Amanda Hirsch, producer of the podcast “Not Skinny But Not Fat,” celebrity gossip Instagram account Deux Moi claimed to have learned “awful news” about the Bachelor Nation couple.
The letter from Deux Moi said, “I guess she was crying in their staff room last week with a few other teacher buddies and said her and Nayte split up.” It occurred just before the shooting [in Ulvade, Texas], making it an all-around difficult week for her. Although they are no longer together, I believe they are still in touch.
“Yup, I heard this about Michelle and Nayte, too,” Amanda said beside a crying emoji after posting the encounter on her own Instagram Story. Despite continuing to follow one another on Instagram, Michelle hasn’t “liked” a picture on her fiance’s page since May 29. She didn’t even participate in Nayte’s celebration of her birthday on June 4.

Nayte &Michelle Still Together?
On June 17, the reality television pair declared their separation. On June 4, when chatting exclusively to Life & Style at the 2022 iHeartRadio KIIS FM Wango Tango, Nayte hinted that they wanted children “one day in the future.”
“He was a 13-pound newborn!” They were taking their relationship “in stride” before getting married, Michelle joked during their joint interview. We always talk about how we want to go, so we’re going to wait a hot minute. Eventually, we’ll take the kids along, but for now, we want to go alone.
Prior to that, the resident of Austin stated in February that he and Michelle were still “feeling it all out” in regards to choosing a place to live and a date for their wedding.
Nayte, who had previously discussed making plans to move to Michelle’s home state of Minnesota, said, “We like to make sure that we’re constantly making very measured judgments, we’re always looking at all of our alternatives,” adding, “Yeah, it’ll happen.” Michelle and Nayte were contacted by Life & Style for comment, but they did not respond right away.
