Slick Goku, a YouTuber who was known for his short skits and animation videos, has died. On Thursday, January 19, 2023, he died while his family was with him. Goku, whose real name was Reggie Groover, had a huge social media following.

Youtuber Slick Goku Cause of Death
Groover’s family said that he had died on January 21. His friend and fellow voice actor, Freddie Heinz, said that he had a “severe seizure” before he died. He wrote on Twitter, “I’ve been quiet for a few days because Reggie, who you know as @SlickGoku2GS, died of a severe seizure two days ago. He was a good friend of mine, and I’m very sad about his death.
The YouTuber’s family has now set up a GoFundMe page to ask for help with the funeral costs.
“Reggie was an artist at heart. He made his own YouTube Community and worked hard to make videos for it. Anywhere Reggie would go he would make friends. “Reggie was the kind of person who would help people he cared about,” the campaign said.
“Reggie is a dependable man who is dedicated to improving himself. Reggie enjoyed living life to the fullest. He loved running, swimming, and skateboarding. Reggie loved juice and would have juice every single day. Reggie learned a lot of life lessons from his grandfather when they would go fishing together,” wrote Groover’s mother, Janice.

Slick Goku Has 264,000 Subscribers on YouTube
Groover became well-known for his short animation and voice-over videos that took place in the world of Slick Goku. On December 1, 2018, he started his YouTube channel, which now In the last four years, he has uploaded 591 videos to his channel, which have been watched more than 43 million times.
The last video he posted to his channel was on January 18, one day before he died. The title of his last video is “Eren Jaeger Meets Optimus Prime [SFM].” Groover had a big following on Twitter as well. In January 2016, he joined the platform and quickly got more than 9,000 followers.
A Lot of People Pay Tribute to the Youtuber
As soon as word got out that Groover had died, his friends and fans started to show how sad they were and pay tribute to him.
“May Slick Goku rest in peace. I only got to see a few of his videos, but he was so creative and passionate about his art. Can’t believe he’s gone,” one of his fans wrote.
A fan tweeted,
“I’m f***ing devastated. Slick Goku is gone bro. He was one of the nicest content creators I ever met and one of my biggest inspirations. I remember the one time he retweeted some art I did on my alt twitter, I was so f***ing happy he acknowledged me. Rest in peace king.”
“Reggie was loved by many people and had many fans across the world to who he brought joy. Reggie affected each and every person he came in contact with,” wrote Groover’s best friend, JB Coleman.
