After suffering a brain aneurysm, Tom Sizemore is fighting for his life. 61-year-old “Saving Private Ryan” star is “hospitalized in intensive care,” his manager Charles Lago confirmed to Page Six on Sunday.
For now, “he is in serious condition and it’s a wait-and-see situation,” Lago said of the patient. They know and are waiting for medical news.
Around 2 a.m. on Saturday, the “Black Hawk Down” actor reportedly had a brain aneurysm in his Los Angeles residence and went into cardiac arrest. Someone reportedly located Sizemore and placed a 911 call.
Despite the prompt arrival of the emergency services, he was transferred to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The controversial actor has a history of substance misuse and legal problems. Sizemore spent a total of 17 months in prison in the 2000s due to a series of domestic violence and drug offenses.

“My life has gotten a lot better, it’s been a true chronicle, but I’ve got a lengthy history of substance misuse, I was in a really poor position,” Sizemore said. Although I did not end up sleeping on the street, I did have to quickly sell the $7 million property I had been living in. What a fucked up person I was, I could have bought anything else like a condo or something, but I wanted a house again.
So I was just out and about for a few of weeks,” he added. I mean, I was high, and I remember thinking, “I’m going to obtain the money to purchase a $5 million mansion, and I’m asking certain individuals for money.” Actor Jack Nicholson was eventually solicited for a loan by “Heat” star Mel Gibson.
Can you lend me $10 million?” to which Sizemore recalled the reply, “In a word, no.”
A Utah lady made news when she claimed that 11-year-old Sizemore touched her at a photo shoot. In a lawsuit filed in 2018, she claimed that an incident that occurred in 2003 on the set of the film Born Killers caused her to suffer from PTSD and an addiction to drugs and alcohol. After hearing about the “very troubling” claim, Sizemore said he would never improperly touch a youngster.
