Months after he made the couple’s separation official, the file has now been made. Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and his ex-wife Aja Volkman have taken their divorce proceedings to the next level, according to Billboard.

The news was initially reported by TMZ. They were papers submitted at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 18. At the time of publication, neither side had responded.
The petition was submitted months after Reynolds and Volkman, who is also a musician and the lead vocalist of Nico Vega, announced they were divorcing and would co-parent their children. (The couple had previously broken up in 2018, but in 2019 they declared they were attempting to patch things up.)

In March 2011, Reynolds and Volkman exchanged vows. The couple had four children during the course of their 12-year marriage: Arrow, age 10, Gia James and Coco Rae, twins, age 5, and Valentine, age 2.
The Imagine Dragons frontman spoke on The Howard Stern Show and expressed his sentiments after they separated in 2022. I cherish her. She is my greatest friend and a wonderful mother; together, she and I will make wonderful parents, he remarked.
“Relationships are so complicated; now that a chapter has come to an end, it seems difficult and mournful for me. However, I also feel as though I’m traveling along my intended course in life.
