Former New Mexico and Texas football player Jaden Hullaby passed away on Monday, the schools reported on social media. They haven’t been able to “track any of his devices,” a family member of Hullaby’s wrote on social media on Sunday, saying that he’s been gone since Friday.” He was last seen in Dallas, and his death has not been confirmed.

Hullaby played tight end and running back in New Mexico in 2022. In 2020, he made two appearances for Texas after being recruited by the Longhorns. Before leaving Texas, he sat out the 2021 season on a redshirt.
To hear of Jaden’s demise is “devastating and tragic news,” Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said in a statement. We had a lot of fun coaching and hanging out with him since he was such a lovely person. Our hearts go out to his loved ones in this time of loss, and we offer our sincerest condolences to his teammates and friends.

Hullaby, a native Texan, attended Dallas’s Mansfield Timberview High School until his junior year when he transferred to Bishop Dunne, where he won a state championship. Last year, he rushed for 59 yards and caught two passes for 44 for New Mexico. After the 2022 season, he submitted a transfer request to UNM.
