A son was born to actor Song Joong-ki and his wife, Katy Louise Saunders, in Rome, he has revealed. My wife is from Rome, so that’s where I went to meet the baby. On Wednesday, Song posted a photo of his newborn son gripping his finger alongside the caption “He is a healthy son” on his online fan cafe.

He continued, “He is the greatest gift to our couple, whose greatest dream is to make a happy family.” Song and Saunders went to the Cannes Film Festival to promote his new film “Hopeless” in May, and then they relocated to Italy in anticipation of the birth of their child.

The 38-year-old revealed his marriage to the British actress and model Saunders and her pregnancy in January. Song Hye-kyo, with whom he co-starred in the blockbuster 2016 drama “Descendants of the Sun,” was the actress he married for the second time after divorcing her in 2019.
