The wife of radio host Don Geronimo and regular guest on the nationally syndicated “Don and Mike” program, Freda Wright-Sorce, was killed in a car crash on Sunday. Michael Hughes, the general manager of WJFK in Washington, DC, stated that Wright-Sorce, 50, often phoned into the station’s comedy program, which is noted for its crazy humor and pranks.
According to state police, her car was hit head-on by a vehicle that had crossed the median on Route 90 to escape a collision on Sunday afternoon. Cindy Rivers, a hospital spokesperson, confirmed later on Sunday that she had passed away at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. State police said that Route 90 westbound was blocked as they investigated the crash.
