Savannah Chrisley is still grieving the loss of her ex-boyfriend, Nic Kerdiles, who passed away unexpectedly over the weekend. The Chrisley Knows Best star revealed how deeply she is suffering in an Instagram post published on Sunday.
“It is impossible to believe that you are really gone,” she wrote in the caption. “I am not sure how to even absorb that news, I don’t know how to react. I am so sad and so numb. I don’t want to believe it… I keep texting your phone and hope you respond.”

Chrisley continued, “We had some really great, bright moments, and we had some really hard ones, but the part of our relationship I will hold on to will always be the moments in the middle. It will be the day to day life we got to share for 5 incredible years.
It will be your absolute and total dependency on Starbucks and how no day could start without it. It will be your love for moms carrot cake, I feel certain no person has ever loved carrot cake like you. It will be your inability to ever get a famous cliche saying right, LOL, you would butcher every quote, every time.”
Nic Kerdiles Death
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department reportedly told WRKN News 2 that Kerdiles, 29, died early Saturday morning after he drove his Indian Motorcycle through a stop sign in a residential neighborhood north of central Nashville.
We’re heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles, who died in a motorcycle accident this morning. An Irvine native, Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks, in 2017. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones. pic.twitter.com/LMcJ47cKkt

The Nashville station said that Kerdiles’ motorcycle had collided with the BMW’s driver’s side. The BMW driver apparently walked away unscathed, but Kerdiles later died from his wounds at a local hospital.
After dating since November 2017, the ex-professional hockey player proposed to Savannah in December 2018. He previously played for the Anaheim Ducks from 2014 to 2017 before getting chosen by the Winnipeg Jets in 2018.
Savannah told in July 2020 that they had decided to break off their engagement and wedding plans, and in September of the same year, she announced on Instagram that the couple had “decided to call it quits.“
The presenter of the Unlocked podcast said, “There’s no hatred between the two of us…and in all honesty…that makes saying goodbye even harder. We have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for one another but it’s time for us to move forward individually.”

Nic Kerdiles Career
Kerdiles also appeared in multiple episodes of “Chrisley Knows Best” and “Growing Up Chrisley,” two USA Network reality shows about the Atlanta real estate tycoons Todd and Julie Chrisley and their children.
Kerdiles proposed to Savannah Chrisley on camera in front of her family in a 2019 episode. A little over a year later, they broke off their engagement but remained close friends. They agreed to give their relationship another shot in 2022, with him admitting that the impending end of his hockey career had been a source of tension.
Changing careers “was a big deal for me,” he explained. “Hockey was my whole world, and when I had to retire, I didn’t deal with it very well,” he said.
On Saturday, Chrisley shared an Instagram story with a photo of the couple holding hands on the sand.
“Heaven gained the most beautiful angel today … I miss you and I love you… I’ll forever save our last messages of ‘I love you’ … please send me a sign that you’re ok… maybe it’ll be through a ham and cheese crepe.. or pasta with white sauce… or maybe even your favorite carrot cake,” she wrote.
“We loved hard… and I can’t wait to ride bikes along the beaches of heaven with you one day.”
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 5,932 motorcyclists were killed in crashes in 2021, an increase of 8% from the previous year and the largest number of deaths since data collection began in 1975.
The National Safety Council reports that while motorcycles only account for around 3% of all registered cars and 0.6% of vehicle kilometers traveled, motorcyclists are responsible for 14% of all traffic deaths.
