When the teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder premiered earlier today, it set the internet into a frenzy. If the movie is anything like the teaser’s segments, which appear to be patched together with more CGI than The Mitchells vs. The Machines, then we’ll be in for a treat.
Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Lady Jane Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie/Valkyrie, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, the surviving Guardians of the Galaxy, and Russell Crowe as Zeus all get a peek in this new film from Taika Waititi, the writer and director. But there’s no Gorr, God-Butcher (Christian Bale), but there’s plenty to look at and even a little humor here and there.

Thor 4 Storyline
Unfortunately, the trailer for Thor 4 failed to include or even reference Christian Bale’s Gorr in any way. However, this indicates that Marvel is about to reveal this DC villain as a Marvel hero. Gorr will make his on-screen debut in Thor 4, which could mean we’ll learn more about his past. In the comics, Gorr swears vengeance on all gods for failing to save his dying family and himself. It is Gorr’s Necrosword that allows him to murder any god he chooses; he can even take out Asgardians. Viewers should expect Gorr and his story to be a major focus of the Thor 4 plot, despite the mystery surrounding him.
It’s been four years since the release of Thor: The Dark World, making this Thor’s fourth film. As he prepares to take on the world’s most feared enemy, he’ll be reunited with both old and new friends. Thor 4 is likely to tie up all the loose ends in the Thor film series, particularly the story arc involving Thor and Foster. Additionally, it may act as a springboard for the MCU’s new Thor, as well as other sections of the cosmos, such as Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
Where we left off with our favorite Asgardian in Thor 3 will be picked up in Thor 4. Having assumed the throne of Asgard, he’s joined the Guardians of the Galaxy on their cosmic journey and has since left Valkyrie behind. We don’t know much about the plot of Thor: Love and Thunder, but we know that Natalie Portman is returning to the franchise as the Mighty Thor in this next installment.

While filming Ragnarok, I was reading Jason Aaron’s The Mighty Thor storyline… That plot, for those of you who have read or seen it, is magnificent, full of emotion, love, and thunder; it also introduces, for the first time, female Thor. Thor 4 Release Date
It has been pushed back until July 8, 2022, for the release of Thor 4. Before, it was scheduled for May, but Disney has opted to delay all of their Marvel films, so we’ll see Thor: Love and Thunder a few months later.
