An Orlando student was awarded a national trophy for finance expertise.
The Orlando Science Schools student ranked among the top in the nation at a recent finance competition.
Orlando Science Charter School (OSS) is celebrating the achievements of Mohammed Merchant, who took home fourth place at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference shortly after wrapping up eighth grade.
This summer, he competed against more than 100 middle schoolers at the event in San Antonio, Texas, during which he was recognized in the “Exploring Accounting & Finance” category.
“Mohammed’s success showcases the strength of our FBLA program and the hard work our students invest in pursuing their goals,” said Julie Santos, the principal of the OSS Lynx campus.
