Motorcyclists Arrested after Fleeing Traffic Stop in Central Florida

Motorcyclists were arrested after fleeing a traffic stop in Central Florida.

The two motorcyclists learned that running from Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies is not a successful strategy.

According to local law enforcement, the two motorcycles fled from a traffic stop in the Brandon area. With assistance from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit, deputies were able to safely track both riders from above as they attempted to evade law enforcement.

One rider, 30-year-old Christopher Cruzcolon, abandoned his motorcycle and ran through a storage facility before being taken into custody.

The second rider, 35-year-old Megan Lynne Bateman, continued fleeing until a train blocked her path. In video provided by law enforcement, Bateman then ran along nearby railroad tracks before falling into bushes, where deputies took her into custody.

Both suspects were arrested.
