The Education Foundation of Lake County marked a major milestone with the 20th Anniversary of Stepping Out for Education, bringing together community leaders, dancers, educators, and supporters for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and philanthropy.

This year’s theme, “Velvet & Vinyl,” transformed the event into a celebration of rhythm and rock, with local celebrity dancers and their professional partners taking center stage at the Venetian Center in Leesburg. The annual fundraiser continues to highlight the power of community involvement while raising critical funds to support Lake County schools, teachers, and students.

The event featured an exciting dance competition, with participants showcasing their talent, dedication, and enthusiasm in support of public education. At the end of the event, Dr. Stephanie Luke earned the 2026 Mirror Ball Trophy and was named Top Rising Star. Sharon Nobles received recognition as the event’s Top All-Star.

While the dancers and award recipients were celebrated for their achievements, the true winners were the students, teachers, and schools across Lake County. Proceeds from Stepping Out for Education help fund educational programs, classroom initiatives, teacher support, scholarships, and other opportunities that create lasting benefits throughout the community.
